Mexico City Annual Jazz Festival

Every year, Mexico City embraces jazz as it holds its annual Jazz Festival. While it is still a young festival, it is growing in popularity and has seen some of the best and brightest jazz singers perform. It is truly a blend of music that will soothe your senses and spark your imagination.

The Jazz Festival is held in two places: The Teatro Metropolitan and the Auditoria Nacional. Both are large heritage buildings with an exquisite architecture as well as excellent acoustics. These buildings are classic and beautiful, and will surely take your breath away. They were chosen as the location for the jazz festival because they contribute greatly to the ambience of the Jazz Festival and form a perfect backdrop for an offering of sophisticated jazz.

During the jazz festival, you will be treated to spectacular performances by high caliber local and international stars. Past performers include Jamie Cullum and Bebel Gilberto. The quality of music at the jazz festival was received with great excitement and positive response in previous years, and the organizers are working hard to ensure an equally good event this year.

While the performances are truly the highlight of the event, the organizers intend the Jazz Festival to also be an educational experience. There is a consistent effort to unearth fresh new jazz talents and to showcase budding jazz singers and performers who have the potential to become the next big thing. Thus, the audience will be treated not just to known talents but also recently discovered ones. This adds a spark and a unique edge to the Mexico City Jazz Festival, allowing it to differentiate itself from jazz festivals all over the world.

Besides the annual Jazz Festival in Mexico City, the adjacent cities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque also jointly hold an internationally-acclaimed jazz festival. While it is in the early years of inception just like the Mexico City jazz festival, it too has been drawing positive response. Visitors who attend the Mexico City jazz festival may want to set aside some time to attend this jazz festival, which has been likened to a sister event that will complement the whole jazz experience.

Jazz lovers will not regret making time for these jazz festivals which have been noted for their distinctive features compared to jazz festivals elsewhere in the world. Mexico, and Mexico City in particular, has long had a strong jazz culture, and this looks set to grow and take the Mexico City Jazz Festival to even greater heights in years to come.

The new jazz music has been introduced by Jamie cullum. Born in Essex in august 20, 1979, Cullum shows a really great talent in music. Not only that he’s a skilled musician in playing guitar, drum, and obviously, piano, he’s also a number one song writer and an impressive entertainer. He demonstrates an attractive music performance and gives a new face in jazz world.

Normally, the jazz singers are they who are elegantly demonstrated their performance. The jazz show is a quiet, romantic, and deep breath taking show. With Jamie Cullum as your entertainer, all you will have is totally fresh and ‘catchy’ jazz show. The jazz listeners, I believe, are increasing, particularly the young girls, since his physical appearance is undoubtedly good looking.

Cullum started his musical career in young age. He was recorded as the members of some bands before deciding to do his own music. He got full support from his family, especially his brother, ben cullum, who helped him much in his early career.

Jamie cullum started to steal world’s attention through his album, catching tales. Here, he created a totally new and different music taste of jazz. It is indeed a mixture of jazz and pop, creating a more up beat jazz songs. After his debut, he acknowledged that his album was inspired by many musical genres. “At first I didn’t think certain songs had a place in what I was doing with jazz, but I’ve realized that everything does, and that reaffirms my belief that jazz is the greatest platform to do whatever you want. People ask why I play jazz. It’s because you can take it to so many different places. You can embrace dance music, rock, pop music, classical, funk, everything… And I touch on all those things in this record.” Jamie cullum’s performance offers you a different, fresh and dynamic jazz music. Jazz up your life!
